Friends, I have this situation: the window sashes in my house are quite wobbly, I need to do something about them. Any ideas or tips for repairing window sashes so that I don't have to pay too much for new ones?

I fixed my sashes yesterday. The first thing to do is check the hinges - often they are just loose. Then tighten up the bolts and, if the boards are broken, new boards and hammer them in place. Simple as that, won't take much money. But if for some reason it is not possible to do an independent repair, you can try here at the link to the experts who provide window sash repair services

Thanks for the window sash repair ideas! How do I know where to buy quality new hinges and boards? Can you recommend stores or places where I can find such parts?
